Hmmm, this is a really good protest!
SL reaches CHC inches before she enters the zone.
SL then enters the zone and is owed mark room.
Unlucky augikili, but SL put in one sick tack here and avoids her Rule 15 obligations (BTW, you should have been filing under Rule 15. Not Rule 16. Please read Rule 15 and see the countless protests on that rule to further understand it.)
So my ruling:
augakili breaks Rule 18.2(b), spins to exonerate. Protest Dismissed.

Sorry, I don't understand this ruling. Are you saying that had S/L not entered the zone when she reached c/h and contact had been made, she would have been in breech of the rules?

This one's been sitting here a while without any one commenting, and unfortunately I don't agree with Frodo's ruling.
StarlightLady tacks from port on to starboard in front of Augakili. StarlightLady reaches a CHC at t-100.0 and Augakili collides with her at t=100.5.
Entering the zone does not absolve StarlightLady from her rule 15 obligations when tacking. As Frodo said, the tack was completed prior to entering the zone, so StarlightLady is initially required to give Augakili room to remain clear.
